LG G5 Specifications Leaked, Launch Expected In February

LG is reportedly working on its next flagship smartphone, called the LG G5.  As per a Weibo post, the device will be unveiled in February. The report reveals that the device will come with metal unibody design unlike LG G4 which bears leather back.

The device is also said to pack fingerprint scanner and iris scanner which were missing on the erstwhile LG G4. The report also sheds some light on the specifications of the device. Read on to find out details on rumored specifications and features of upcoming LG G5.

As for specifications, it is said to be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 SoC and feature a 5.6-inch QHD display with 2560×1440 pixels resolution. On camera front, it is likely to sport a 21 mega pixel rear camera and an 8 mega pixel front facing camera. Rest of the specifications are not knows as of now and are likely to surface in the coming days.

Price & Availability

There is no word on pricing and exact availability details of the LG G5. It is expected to be unveiled in February 2015. This information should be taken with a pinch of salt since the company has not revealed anything officially yet.

To recap, the LG G4 was launched in India in June 2015. Specifications of the handset include 1.8 GHz 64-bit Hexa-Core Qualcomm Snapdragon 808 processor, 3GB of RAM,  5.5-inch Quad HD (2560×1440 pixels) IPS Quantum display, Android 5.1 OS with LG UX 4.0, 32 GB storage (expandable via microSD card), 16 mega pixel rear camera with f/1.8 aperture, OIS 2.0, 8 mega pixel front camera with f/2.0 aperture and 3000 mAh battery.
