Microsoft Lumia 550 launched, let's have a look.

Alongside Lumia 950 and Lumia 950 XLsmartphones, Microsoft has also unveiled its Microsoft Lumia 550 smartphone at its event in New York. Microsoft has also launched its Microsoft Band 2, Surface Pro 4 and Surface Book at the same event.

Under the hood, Lumia 550 is powered by a 1.1GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 210 processor paired with 1GB of RAM. Running Windows 10 operating system, it features a 4.7-inch HD display with 1280×720 pixels resolution. There is 8GB of internal memory onboard which is expandable up to 2TB via microSD card. On camera front, it sports a 5 mega pixel auto focus rear camera with LED flash and f/2.4 aperture while there is also a 2 mega pixel front facing camera with f/2.8 aperture.
Backed up by a 2100mAh battery, it is claimed to deliver up to 14 hours of talk time and up to 28 days of standby time on 3G networks. The smartphone measures 136.1×67.8×9.9 mm in dimensions and weighs 141.9 grams. It also comes in optional dual SIM variant.

The Microsoft Lumia 550 is priced at $139 (Rs. 9,000 approximately) and will go on sale starting December 2015. It will be initially rolled out for sale in select markets in Europe. There is no word on pricing and availability details of the device in the Indian market.
