Top 3 Smartphones With 3GB RAM Under Rs. 10,000

Needless to say, more RAM is not the sole reason behind faster performance of a smartphone. Number of cores and chipset are also responsible in determining the speed of the phone. But if you are looking for smartphone specifically on the basis of RAM, then we have the following list of best smartphones under Rs. 10,000 which house 3GB of RAM.

1. Coolpad Note 3: Rs. 8,999

The smartphone that tops our list is Coolpad Note 3. Apart from offering massive RAM, this smartphone has many other impressive features as well. It comes with a large 5.5-inch HD display, great camera combination, mammoth 3000mAh battery as well as fingerprint sensor for additional security. Fingerprint sensor at price point of RS. 8,999, certainly gives this phone an edge over its competitors. This dual SIM phones also comes with 4G LTE support.

2. Xolo Black 1X: Rs. 9,999

Besides 3GB of RAM, another highlight of this phone is its 5-inch full HD display with 1920×1080 pixels resolution, 441ppi pixel density and Dragon trail Glass protection. It is priced higher than the Coolpad Note 3 and misses out on fingerprint sensor. Rest all other specs of this phone are really impressive.

3. Intex Cloud Swift: Rs. 8,888

It carries the lowest price tag among the three smartphones listed here. Considering what the other two smartphones offer besides 3GB of RAM, spec-sheet of Cloud Swift seems a bit disappointing. It does not sport a full HD display like the Black 1X, nor does it feature a fingerprint sensor like the Coolpad Note 3. Moreover, camera combination of this phone is just average on spec-sheet.

Note: All three smartphones are dual SIM phones and support 4G LTE connectivity. Coolpad Note 3 and Xolo Black 1X feature octa-core processors while Intex Cloud Swift comes with a quad-core processor.

Verdict

Coolpad Note 3 is apparently the winner in this race. It gives you the features of a high-end smartphone within Rs. 10,000 price range. Xolo Black 1X misses out on fingerprint sensor, yet it is a strong contender with a full HD display and great camera combination to offer. Intex Cloud Swift does disappoint us a little since it does not have very exciting features to offer apart from 3GB of RAM.

Explained: Camera Improvements in the New HTC 10

With the HTC 10, the Taiwanese company is promising to undo the past wrongs in the cameras of its previous flagship phones. The camera has long a weak point in HTC devices. At first, HTC sacrificed image resolution in the M8 and made the size of individual pixels larger to capture more light (what HTC called Ultrapixel). But the resulting 4 megapixel images were often fuzzy, especially when cropped or enlarged. To fix the issue, in its next flagship - the M9 - HTC went with smaller individual pixels in a 20-megapixel camera last year, but it still underperformed in extreme situations, such as indoors and close-ups. In the HTC 10, the company attempts to strike a balance with larger individual pixels (1.55µm), but not as large as before and a 12 megapixel sensor in its camera coupled with a ƒ/1.8 lens. HTC accepts that in the imaging performance in the M9 was not up to the kind of spec of what they really like to see in a flagship. HTC is giving a slight boost to the selfi...

Flexible Camera Developed That Can Be Wrapped Around Objects

A team led by an Indian-origin professor at Columbia University has created a novel sheet camera that can be wrapped around everyday objects to capture images that cannot be taken with one or more conventional cameras. "Cameras today capture the world from essentially a single point in space. While the camera industry has made remarkable progress in shrinking the camera to a tiny device with ever increasing imaging quality, we are exploring a radically different approach to imaging," said Shree K Nayar, computer science professor at Columbia University. "We believe there are numerous applications for cameras that are large in format but very thin and highly flexible," added Nayar who graduated from the Birla Institute of Technology, Ranchi, in 1984. Nayar's team designed and fabricated a flexible lens array that adapts its optical properties when the sheet camera is bent. This optical adaptation enables the device to produce high quality images over a wide ...
