Since its launch in July, the OnePlus 2 has been hard to procure, with the invites necessary to purchase the phone in short supply. The company has come under quite a bit a flak for the lack of availability, especially after promises to the ensure invite mechanism would be more widely inclusive compared to the OnePlus One, and that more units will be on offer for consumers across the country

Running OxygenOS 2.1.0 based on Android 5.1, the 64GB OnePlus 2 has been priced at Rs. 24,999. OnePlus 2 will feature a 5.5-inch in-cell display with a full-HD (1080x1920 pixel) resolution and 1500:1 contrast ratio. It is powered by a 64-bit octa-core Snapdragon 810 v2.1 SoC clocked at 1.8GHz and coupled with an Adreno 430 GPU alongside 4GB of LPDDR4 RAM and 64GB internal storage.A 16GB OnePlus 2 with 3GB of LPDDR4 RAM will be made available later this year at Rs. 22,999.

The OnePlus 2 sports dual 4G Nano-SIM cards (dual-SIM dual standby), as well as USB Type-C connectivity (with the cable reversible at both ends). It bears a 13-megapixel rear camera with a 1.3-micron sensor, laser autofocus, dual-LED flash, f/2.0 aperture, 4K video recording, RAW image support, and OIS, apart from a 5-megapixel front-facing camera. It runs on a 3300mAh battery, and has a fingerprint sensor that can store up to 5 prints and unlock in under 0.5 seconds. It weighs 175 grams.

At first, HTC sacrificed image resolution in the M8 and made the size of individual pixels larger to capture more light (what HTC called Ultrapixel). Flexible Camera Developed That Can Be Wrapped Around Objects

A team led by an Indian-origin professor at Columbia University has created a novel sheet camera that can be wrapped around everyday objects to capture images that cannot be taken with one or more conventional cameras. "Cameras today capture the world from essentially a single point in space. While the camera industry has made remarkable progress in shrinking the camera to a tiny device with ever increasing imaging quality, we are exploring a radically different approach to imaging," said Shree K Nayar, computer science professor at Columbia University. "We believe there are numerous applications for cameras that are large in format but very thin and highly flexible," added Nayar who graduated from the Birla Institute of Technology, Ranchi, in 1984. Samsung Galaxy J1 (2016) Leaked in Press Images

The anticipated successor to the popular Samsung Galaxy J1, tipped to be called the Galaxy J1 (2016), has once again been leaked in images on the Web. While in the previous leaks we have seen the unannounced smartphone in its Black colour variant, the new leaked image shows the handset in two additional colour variants. The image tweeted by @evleaks on Monday shows the Samsung Galaxy J1 (2016) smartphone in Gold and White colour variants. The design of the handset also fall in line with the models leaked in images previously. It is worth mentioning that the screen bezel seen in the image stay black in all the three colour variants. The smartphone is seen featuring a physical home button, along with a multi-window, and a back capacitive button on either side. At the back, the smartphone sports a camera at the centre with a LED flash and a speaker on either sides. Samsung is yet to announce the smartphone.
