Processor & RAM

All the four smartphones are powered by different processors. Xiaomi Mi 4i is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 chipset and Zenfone 2 by Intel Atom Z3560 chipset. The 3rd Gen Moto G and Galaxy J7 pack Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 and Exynos 7580 SoC’s respectively.

Display

The Xiami Mi 4i and Motorola Moto G feature a 5.5-inch display however there is a difference in their screen resolution. The Mi 4i sports full HD display with 1920×1080 pixels resolution while the Moto G 3rd Gen comes with HD display with 1280×720 pixels resolution. The Asus Zenfone 2 and Samsung Galaxy J7 feature 5.5-inch HD display.

Camera

All the four smartphones sport a 13 mega pixel rear camera with dual LED flash except Samsung Galaxy J7 which comes with single LED flash. There is a 5 mega pixel secondary camera on each smartphone. The front facing camera of Galaxy J7 is further accompanied with LED flash.

Storage & Battery

The Moto G 3rd Gen comes in two variants based on storage- one with 1GB of RAM and 8GB of internal memory while the other variant packs 2GB of RAM with 16GB inbuilt memory. All other three smartphones house 16GB of inbuilt memory. The Xiaomi Mi 4i does not support expandable storage via microSD card. All other devices support expandable storage via microSD card.

Motorola Moto G 3rd Gen packs the smallest 2470mAh battery compared to 3000mAh battery of Asus Zenfone 2 and Samsung Galaxy J7 and 3120mAh battery of Xiaomi Mi 4i.

Xiaomi Mi 4i and Asus Zenfone 2 are priced at Rs. 12,999. The 8GB variant of Moto G 3rd Gen carries price tag of Rs. 11,999 while the 16GB variant comes at Rs. 12,999. The Samsung Galaxy carries the highest price tag of Rs. 14,999.

Verdict

All the four smartphones are competent enough to make it to the top four smartphones under Rs. 15,000. If you are looking for an all-rounder, then apparently, you should pick the Xiaomi Mi 4i since it comes with full HD display, good cameras and large battery. But it lacks microSD card support. If you are looking for a smartphone with large display, then you can opt for Zenfone 2 or Samsung Galaxy J7. The Moto G 3rd Gen comes with IPX7 certification for resistance against water and you can opt it if your phone is prone to water spillage.

Freedom 251: 30,000 Units Sold, Components for Up to 2.5 Million Will Be Imported

Ringing Bells, the makers of the Rs. 251 smartphone - the Freedom 251 - confirmed to Gadgets 360 on Tuesday that it has still only accepted payments for 30,000 units of the phone. It also added that the components for these phones will be imported, and only assembled in India, not made here. Ringing Bells stopped accepting orders on February 19, and claims to have received over 70 million registrations.
