Moto X Force Prices Slashed by up to Rs 16,000 in India

Motorola has slashed the prices of its shatterproof Moto X Force smartphone in India. The phone, which was launched in India in February, has got a price cut of Rs 15,000 on the 32 GB model and Rs 16,000 on the 64 GB variant. The 32 GB variant, which was earlier priced at Rs 49,999, is now available at a price of Rs 34,999, while the price of the 64 GB model has gone down from Rs 53,999 to Rs 37,999. Both the variants are available on Flipkart.com at revised prices. The Moto X Force, which happens to be the world's first shatterproof phone, is the most premium Motorola phone in the India since its re-entry to the Indian market in February 2014 and the company has been on quite a roll since then. Apple Updates MacBook with Faster Processors, Better Battery

Apple Inc on Tuesday updated its 12-inch MacBook line of laptops with faster processors, among other features, and made it available in rose gold colour. The new MacBook is 13.1 mm thin, weighs 2 pounds and has a battery capable of up to 10 hours of wireless web browsing on a single charge. It features sixth-generation dual-core Intel Core M processors up to 1.3 GHz, with Turbo Boost speeds up to 3.1 GHz, and faster 1866 MHz memory. New Intel HD Graphics 515 deliver up to 25 percent faster graphics performance. The device, which starts with a price tag of $1,299, will be available for sale from Wednesday.

HP Spectre trims down to 10.4mm HP has unveiled the world's slimmest laptop computer with a model that's just 10.4mm thick (compared to 13.1mm for Apple's MacBook). The HP Spectre is billed as a high-end, stylish device, loaded with the latest-generation Intel Core i5 and i7 processors. This 13.3-inch notebook PC has a scratch-resistant glass display (Corning Gorilla Glass) plus an aluminum and carbon fiber chassis ensuring a lightweight build, at a little over 1kg. Google has released an updated preview version of Android N for members of the Android Beta program, boosting stability and adding new features. The firm is expected to outline the final version of its new mobile operating system at the Google I/0 conference, May 18-20, 2016. In the meantime, here's a look at some of the new features already on the agenda. 1.  One key innovation in Android N is the picture-in-picture function for using two applications simultaneously, open side by side (tablet) or one over the other (smartphone). Tablets may never again be the consumer sensation they once were, but they are finding new life among professionals. Apple took aim at that market in announcing a second iPad Pro model this week. Samsung started selling the Windows-based Galaxy TabPro S last week, while Microsoft doubled down on its Surface tablet business last fall with Surface Book, a laptop whose keyboard pops off to leave behind a tablet. Owners of Android-based wearables can now join their Apple Watch-wearing counterparts in receiving Outlook notifications directly on their watches. Scientists have developed a high-quality protective film less than two micrometres thick that may enable creation of electronic skin displays for blood oxygen level and e-skin heart rate sensors for athletes. The technology will enable the production of ultrathin, ultraflexible, high performance wearable electronic displays and other devices, researchers said. Integrating electronic devices with the human body to enhance or restore body function for biomedical applications is the goal of researchers around the world. In particular, wearable electronics need to be thin and flexible to minimise impact where they attach to the body.
