South Korean tech giant Samsung launched a new smartphone - Galaxy J3 - priced at Rs 8,990, designed specifically for bike riders in India. Interestingly, 70 per cent of Samsung India's entry-level consumers are two-wheeler users. The handset features a 'S Bike mode' that has been developed by the India team. Once activated, callers are notified using an automated answering machine that the user is riding and cannot take the call. The caller can choose to press 1 to express urgency to speak to the biker. When the caller presses 1, the rider will be notified of the incoming call. He may then choose to take the call after safely stopping the bike. The US space agency and tech giant Microsoft have teamed up to create " Destination: Mars ", a guided tour of Mars using the same Hololens headset technology that helps scientists plan the Curiosity rover's activities on Red Planet . It will offer people a guided tour of an area of Mars with astronaut Buzz Aldrin this summer in an interactive exhibit using the Microsoft HoloLens mixed reality headset. “ Mixed reality ” means that virtual elements are merged with the user's actual environment, creating a world in which real and virtual objects can interact. The "Destination: Mars" exhibit will open at NASA ’s Kennedy Space Center's visitor complex in Florida this summer, the US space agency said in a statement. Chinese smartphone maker has finally launched its new flagship smartphone - Mi 5 - in India. While the phone comes in three storage options, the company has introduced only the 32 GB variant in India at a price of Rs 24,999. Xioami's latest flagship phone will go on sale in India from April 6. It will be available on Mi.com. The Xiaomi Mi 5, which is the successor to the Mi 4, is said to be inspired by the design of the Mi Note. The new phone features curved edges and sports a slim metal frame with a 3D ceramic body which is claimed to be durable, wear resistant, and feels like marble. The Canadian technology company says that it has worked with Facebook to launch an updated "web-based Facebook app" which people can use to continue enjoying the features of the BlackBerry 10 OS and BlackBerry OS app for Facebook. BlackBerry is now urging users to switch to the mobile Web client as soon as they get a moment. Facebook announced earlier this month that it was discontinuing support of their essential APIs for BlackBerry.
